Scope & Relationship to Main Terms
These Trainer Terms of Service ("Trainer Terms") apply to users who select a trainer account type and use Fitnex coaching features to connect with clients, assign plans, and view client progress data.
These Trainer Terms are incorporated into and supplement the Fitnex Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between the main Terms and these Trainer Terms regarding coaching features, these Trainer Terms control for trainer-specific matters.
Trainer Eligibility
To use Fitnex as a trainer, you must meet the eligibility requirements in the main Terms of Service and complete trainer onboarding, including acceptance of these Trainer Terms.
You represent that you have the legal capacity and, where required in your jurisdiction, the professional qualifications or licenses necessary to provide fitness or nutrition coaching to clients.
Trainer Profile & Credentials
During onboarding, you may provide a bio, specialty, years of experience, expected client capacity, profile photo, and optional certification information.
- All profile information you provide must be accurate and not misleading
- Certifications, credentials, and qualifications listed on your profile are self-reported. Fitnex does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any trainer credentials
- You must not claim certifications, licenses, or qualifications you do not hold
- Fitnex may display your trainer profile information to clients you invite or who view your coaching profile within the App
Coaching Relationships
Coaching on Fitnex is invitation-based. You may send coaching invitations to other Fitnex users; coaching features become active only after a client accepts.
- You may not invite yourself or create fake client relationships
- You may cancel pending invitations before they are accepted
- Either you or the client may end an active coaching relationship from within the App
- You must respect a client's decision to decline an invitation or revoke timeline access
Fitnex facilitates the connection between trainers and clients but does not employ trainers, set coaching fees, or manage the commercial terms of your coaching services outside the App.
Client Data & Privacy
When a client accepts your coaching invitation, you may access certain client data as described in the Fitnex Privacy Policy, including:
- Basic profile information needed to identify the client
- Workout and meal plans you assign to the client
- The client's workout calendar schedule
- Assignment completion status
- Progress timeline data only if the client explicitly grants you timeline access
You agree to:
- Use client health, fitness, and progress data only for coaching purposes within Fitnex
- Protect client data and maintain its confidentiality
- Not share, export, sell, or disclose client progress, photos, health data, or personal information outside the App without the client's explicit consent
- Comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws when handling client information
Workout & Nutrition Assignments
You may assign workout and meal plans to connected clients through the App. You are solely responsible for the content of those assignments.
- You must ensure workouts and nutrition guidance are safe and appropriate for each client's stated goals, experience, and known limitations
- You should encourage clients to consult qualified health professionals before starting new programs, especially if they have medical conditions or injuries
- AI-generated workouts and insights are not medical or professional fitness advice. Always consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise program.
- You may include notes and scheduled dates with assignments; clients may link assignments to their personal calendar and mark them complete
Professional Standards
You agree to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards in your jurisdiction when providing coaching through Fitnex, including rules governing:
- Personal training, fitness instruction, or nutrition counseling (where applicable)
- Scope of practice for your credentials and qualifications
- Advertising and representation of your services
- Protection of minors and vulnerable individuals
You will not provide medical diagnosis, prescribe medication, or represent Fitnex coaching features as a substitute for professional medical care.
Fitnex's Role
Fitnex is a technology platform, not a gym, employer, agency, or professional certifying body. Fitnex:
- Does not supervise, direct, or control how you coach clients
- Does not verify your certifications or professional background
- Does not guarantee client outcomes or the suitability of your coaching
- Is not a party to any agreement between you and your clients regarding coaching services, fees, or liability
You are an independent user of the platform and are responsible for your own coaching practices, client relationships, and compliance with applicable law.
Prohibited Conduct
In addition to the acceptable use rules in the main Terms of Service, you must not:
- Harass, pressure, or repeatedly invite users who have declined coaching
- Use coaching features to solicit clients for services that violate Fitnex policies or applicable law
- Misuse client data obtained through coaching features
- Assign dangerous, reckless, or clearly inappropriate workout or nutrition plans
- Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation with Fitnex
Termination & Suspension
You may stop using trainer features at any time by switching account types or deleting your account, subject to the main Terms of Service.
We may suspend or terminate your access to trainer features, or your entire account, if you violate these Trainer Terms, the main Terms of Service, or if your use poses a risk to clients or the service.
Upon termination of a coaching relationship, you lose access to assign new plans and to view the client's coaching-related data. Clients may separately revoke timeline access in App settings.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge that Fitnex is not liable for:
- Workout plans, meal plans, notes, or advice you provide to clients
- Client injuries, health outcomes, or disputes arising from your coaching
- Your failure to comply with professional standards or applicable law
You agree to indemnify Fitnex as described in the main Terms of Service for claims arising from your coaching content, your handling of client data, or your violation of these Trainer Terms.
The limitation of liability and disclaimer provisions in the main Terms of Service apply fully to your use of trainer features.
Changes to Trainer Terms
We may update these Trainer Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version date on this page and may require you to accept the updated terms before continuing to use trainer features in the App.
Your continued use of trainer features after updated Trainer Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes, unless re-acceptance is required in the App.
